In September 2017, Hurricane Irma destroyed the Garden’s Floy Thompson Pond Overlook, one of our most popular destinations for quiet contemplation of this natural, fresh-water pond.
Two very large Buttonwood trees were uprooted, falling into the pond taking the Overlook with them. The Overlook was moved off of its foundation and needs to be completely restored. It cannot be repaired.
This is an expensive challenge for the not-for-profit Garden. Thankfully a generous anonymous donor has stepped forward with a $20,000 gift that helps us toward our goal. Please consider your own gift to the Key West Botanical Garden Society to help us match the gift from our wonderful Garden donor and supporter. Doing so will ensure we can proceed with the Overlook restoration.

Our suggested minimum donation is $100. You may choose another amount or create a custom donation.
