Fall Migration Mania
Join the flock and explore the natural wonder of the annual migration inside the tropical forest with birding guide Mark Hedden. Saturday will also include a butterfly identification tour. Or simply explore the beauty and morning peacefulness in Garden during the Early Bird Walk, a self-guided tour for you and your family or friends.
The butterfly and birding guided tours are offered on Saturday only. Mark Hedden’s guided birding walk begins at 9 a.m. Robin Sarabia’s guided butterfly walk begins at 10:30 a..m. Children’s Wings Over Florida, a butterfly identification program, is scheduled for Saturday only, Sept. 24, at 11:30 a.m. The Early Bird Walk at 8 a.m., is open to individuals and to groups and is offered both Saturday and Sunday.
Learn as you enjoy the wonders of the annual migration at one of the Lower Keys iconic bird and butterfly hot spots. The Garden is located at 5210 College Road on Stock Island, Key West, FL.
What you need to know: Location: Both days of Migration Mania will be at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden, 5210 College Road, Stock Island, Key West, FL 33040. Parking is available.
Special events and guided tours are offered on Saturday only. Special events and guided tours are $10 each and that includes admission to the Garden on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission and participation are free for Garden members and children under 12.
Self-guided tour group size: The Early Bird Walk welcomes you individually or with small family-and-friends groups. Please limit your group to 15. Walk-in and pay at the gate on Saturday and Sunday. You can register and pay at the gate but remember that the guided tour group sizes may be limited to 15. Registration for special events is first-come-first-served.

Special event fees:
$10 per person for the Hedden bird watching tour at 9 a.m., Saturday. Includes Garden admission for both Saturday and Sunday.
$10 per person for the Sarabia butterfly watching tour at 10:30 a.m. Includes Garden admission for both Saturday and Sunday.
$10 per person for the Early Bird Walk. Includes Garden admission for both Saturday and Sunday. Garden opens at 8 a.m., on Saturday and Sunday.
$10 per person 12-and-over for the Children’s Wings Over Florida, a butterfly identification program, 11:30 a.m., Saturday. Includes Garden admission for Saturday and Sunday. Children under 12 are free, but must be accompanied by a paid ($10) adult.
FREE: Migration Mania is free to Key West Botanical Garden Society members and children under 12. Advance registration is encouraged.
