Garden Guardians help maintain and restore the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden
The Guardians meet every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until noon.
Audrey Thompson, volunteer supervisor of the Garden Guardians, is a certified arborist and a garden docent. She and other skilled garden docents will train Garden Guardian volunteers to maintain and preserve the Garden.
The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden is home to 450 species of plants, 35 species of butterflies and 160 species of birds. Diversity of life is extraordinary. Tropical moist forests are being destroyed across the world. Here is an opportunity to learn why tropical moist forests are important. It is not just a wonderful educational opportunity but also provides an ability to interact with a living museum.
Join the Garden Guardian docents whenever you able and enjoy spending time with fellow gardeners and learning about the garden. No commitment is needed except for your enthusiasm.
