The Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden has completed a project that will make nearly all of the Garden ADA (Americans with disabilities act) accessible. With the assistance of the Monroe County Tourist Development Council, over 600 feet of mulch paths have been covered with a rubber paving surface that is pervious to water. The rubber comes from recycled tires and provides a flexible surface that doesn’t crack or develop potholes.

Persons using walkers, wheelchairs and other mobility devices can enjoy the beauty of the Garden from the “Western Loop” and back office to the “Terrace” and from there to the “Chapel” and “Pavilion” areas.
